#TBT ya'lllllll. (aka I don't have Photoshop anymore and couldn't figure out how to edit these things together so i downloaded a crappy pic-stitch app—can a web-savvy person plz assist me wit dis??).
But such a special visit deserved special treatment. In March 2013, it was only the second time I met Alejandra when we got on a plane to travel overseas and study abroad. We were making our moms feel better, traveling together. We didn't expect to end up with a lifelong friendship and travel partner.
After a snow day baking cookies when an unexpected blizzard hit, we went to wine bars and breweries and ate burgers. Red Rocks is certainly a site to see in the snow—dreamy flakes falling all around, the sun streaming through the clouds. We obviously made a photoshoot out of it and bought friendship rings because what else do you do with someone that makes time to fly out and see you before you leave the country??
OH, AND I DROVE US INTO A SNOW BANK & I'M STILL SO, SO SORRY ABOUT THAT.
It wouldn't be a good travel partnership if something didn't go wrong.
